a firestorm is an atmospheric phenomenon, caused by a large fire, in which the rising column of air above the fire draws in strong winds often accompanied by rain. the fire it self is not on the land but rather in the sky kinda and rains chaos on the earth. so this is very possible.

very pretty but largely balderdash..

they forgot one thing, in order to have all earth under fire, you need lots of oxygen, so the fire would suffocate itself. As well you need to vaporize all the oceans, what is practically impossible.
