It looks like he was startled by how powerful the gun was. I don't think the gun it self pushed him back.

There is nothing wrong with the way he is handeling the gun. It is just that it has such a extreme recoil. There are two more clips around on the internet with two other blokes firing the same rifle in standing position, they are eaven more fun.:D
