I heard about that guy. He's trying to get the charcoal hot enough to cook on as fast as he can. I think he got 15 seconds once.

Just a guess, but I think it's probably liquid oxygen poured on charcoal. Oxygen and carbon react violently, which is why they don't let you smoke around oxygen equipment.
