Yes, amazing that the Government would keep its thousands of employees off the roads that are barely plowed for safety. They should let drivers all get stranded on the road so firetrucks and other emergency vehicles cannot get through. DC region RARELY gets any significant snow to speak of, that is why they do not have the plows/salt trucks to handle it. Imagine the public uproar if DC had hundreds of snowplows sitting in lots only used once every 7-10 years. All we would hear is the waste of tax dollars. The comment below the title is insulting. At least we don't shut everything down over half an inch of snow like some states.
